Chapter 1

Yeah..I decided to take a break from my BaCC and do a Baby Boom Challenge.

Prepare yourselves, this is a LONG chapter.

Meet my boomers!

Wait..that doesn't sound right. 

*Cough*

Meet the lovely couple who will embark on this challenge!

Blondie there is Oscar Olson. He is a family sim with an LTW to have a Golden Anniversary (I'm going to have to change that).

And the lovely lady is Hannah Olson. She is also a Family sim, but her LTW is to have 6 grandchildren. Which is totally doable.

I started them on the biggest lot, which didn't give them a lot of moolah to work with, so Oscar gets to digging.

And we must have placed this lot on a pirate's hideout because he dug up bones, a map, and a treasure chest.

Lucky duck.

While I get to building them a nice little shack, Oscar gets a job. I had him take a job in gaming because I thought it would a nice starter job.

I later learned that was a dumb job to pick. But what's done is done.

I just let Hannah chill. She's going to be busy soon enough.

Hannah: "Look at all those chickens!"

Oh dear.

...well it's better than lawn living.

I appointed Hannah the tasks of making friends for the family. So she starts greeting walk-by's.

For only 3 nice points she gets along with everybody pretty well!

See?

Oscar on the other hand...maybe you should just go take a shower mkay?

Poor Hannah rolled the want to get a job. You'll have to wait your turn honey.

So Hannah keeps on greeting everyone she can and making those friends.

She stays busy.

And then proceeds to "get busy".

Honestly, I'm surprised it took them this long to jump in the sack.

Oscar gets to digging again, because I don't want this baby to be born in squalor. And I 100% forgot how little the gaming career pays when they first start out.

No matter, he made enough that I could buy cheap flooring, an easel, and a bookcase.

If you guys wanted proof that a baby is incoming.

Oscar gets started on his creativity skill.

Bump!

I'm really excited for this baby. Even though I know it's just going to get harder from here.

Oscar came home with a promotion, but it was really only enough for us to buy a chess set and chairs. The gaming career is so cheap >:(

While Oscar is at work Hannah decides to be a little silly.

I don't think I've ever had a sim turn the newspaper into a paper airplane. It's a really cute animation!

I need to put some lights up. But other things need to come first.

Yep. I was hoping for a nursery by now, but this baby isn't going to wait.

Baby incoming!

Oscar is being helpful in the corner across the room. He looks pissed actually.

Oscar: "Ok honey, I think I'm ok now!"

Hannah: *punches a hole through the wall*

With Hannah's hand miraculously unharmed, she welcomed little Hope Olson into the world! Aww Hope has her grandad's black hair! And obviously her dad's skin and her mom's light blue eyes.

I forgot to mention that Hannah and Oscar are children of other families I've played. I just picked those two based on their compatibility and, admittedly, their attractiveness.

But the genetics should be interesting...all the grandparents had different hair colors. Black, brown, blonde, and red. And I believe all the eyes colors were different as well. We should have a mixed bag as far as these children go!

After all that hard work, Hannah plops Hope into her crib and goes back to bed herself.

Well I had hoped to wait a minute before conceiving the next one but ACR had other ideas.

Well it's not like you're the one changing the diaper Oscar.

Hannah has all 10 neat points so she's constantly cleaning. It's pretty nice actually.

Yes honey, you're expecting.

Oscar rolls a lot of wants to interact with Hope which is super freaking cute.

Oscar: "And look how she repays me!"

Lol babies have very little control over their throw-up Oscar, get used to it.

Bump

Yay. I'm so excited for the toddler stage.

She's cute though. Not like I expected any different.

Since Hannah is feeling pretty good she immediately starts on the skilling.

I was trying to remember why I took this picture, then I noticed it.

Bump!

Oscar is going to be an excellent daddy.

I think he's at level 3 or 4 in his career at this point? I should've wrote it down, but I don't pay a whole lot of attention to career stuff so. Whatever.

Baby time!!

It's a boy! I've named him Theodore. He has his dad's hair and skin tone, but he inherited purple eyes from one of his grandparents.

I'm following the HTTPSBOOLPROPNETINDEXPHP naming theme. I thought about All the B's but I prefer variety.

You guys!

Look I know this family is poor, but you still have actual toys you can play with.

Oscar helps with the skilling. The walking skill is so cute to watch.

Splish splash I was taking a bath.

Any of you guys remember that video? No?

Hannah put Theodore on the floor so she could pop.

There is another crib you could've put him in.

Sim parenting. 0/10 don't recommend.

It's time for Hope to grow up! She got all of her toddler skills so she's good to go.

Yay!

Whoops! It was Theodore's birthday too and I didn't even notice. Sorry Theo.

Bump!

Oscar steps up with Theodore's toddler skills. Hannah is starting to feel the demands of being a stay-at-home mom.

Oscar even helps Hope with her homework!

Oscar isn't climbing the gaming career as fast as I'd like so he goes back to the old pastime of digging.

And this time he has an audience.

Oscar, your luck astounds me.

I didn't take a picture of it, but I was able to add a kid's room and revamp the house a little bit.

But most importantly, they could buy a mirror. Now Hannah can give her kids a proper haircut.

Much better.

I didn't know anybody in the family had elf ears! I'm so happy!

And doesn't Hope look cute?

It's nice to see them interact and it not be ACR motivated.

Hannah: "Come on, just say mama!"

Theodore: "Dada is best!"

Hannah: "Dammit"

Theodore: "Dammit!"

Hope greeted this amazingly dressed kid and they became friends. Maybe they'll be something more when they get older.

Baby time!

Another boy! His name is Tristan and he got a mix of his parent's skin and his mother's hair and eyes.

Hope really loves playing chess. It wouldn't shock me if she ends up maxing that skill on her own.

...yeah this is just to show how cute Theodore is.

I don't have a favorite. I don't have a favorite. I don't have a favorite.

Aww. The babies are so cute in this game. I feel like they really dropped the ball on babies in sims 3 and 4.

I like these cute little moments in between me trying to keep all of these people alive. It makes it slightly worth it.

Finishing up those toddler skills.

I didn't even notice you guys sneak off!

Oh well. Another baby on the way.

And it's birthday time!

Ugh he's precious.

Yep. Jumping right into another birthday.

Nice hair man!

He's a cutie too. Shocker.

Did..did I curse him when I said shocker?

Luckily Oscar's needs were mostly in the green so he survived. Can you imagine failing the challenge this early??

I keep missing these bumps! Oh well, another baby will be along shortly.

Theodore brought home this absolute cutie pie! I even remember her name, Veronica!

I made sure they were friends before she left. I still have Hannah's LTW to think about.

Oscar helps Theodore with his homework after Veronica leaves.

They finally have the funds to start a garden. It'll be a real help later down the line.

As soon as Hannah was done planting her tomatoes she goes into labor.

Another boy! His name is Pierce.

He inherited his grandad's black hair, and his dad's skin and eyes.

No two kids in this house have the same genetics so far. It's so much fun!

Don't put him on the ground Hannah. The last thing we need is child services.

The next night it was time for Hope to become a teenager!

She's very pretty. Reminds me of Arwen from Lord of the Rings actually.

She rolled Romance/Family with an LTW of becoming a Celebrity Chef.

Her sexuality is heterosexual.

But it wasn't just Hope's birthday!

Tristan joins the ranks of childhood! For one day..we won't have toddlers.

And I'm closing out this ridiculously long chapter with Oscar playing with his new son Pierce.
